DALLAS, TX –The former musical composer of the iconic “Dragon Ball Z”anime TV series has been elected to the Texas State Legislature, NBC DFW reported. Democrat Nathan Johnson defeated incumbent Republican Don Huffines Tuesday night, who was elected in 2014. Johnson will represent Texas’ 16th district, which covers Dallas. Johnson was a musical composer for Funimation’s “Dragon Ball Z” and scored films like “Dragon Ball Z: The World’s Strongest,” “Dragon Ball Z: The Tree of Might,” and “Dragon Ball Z: Broly – Second Coming,” according to dragonball.wikia.com. “Dragon Ball Z,” along with the Pokemon franchise, remain the “signature global icons of Japan’s anime and manga industries,” the Japanese Times reported. Johnson graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Physics from the University of Arizona and earned his law degree from the University of Texas at Austin, according to his campaign website.
