The “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” host pretended Kid Rock won a Michigan Senate seat Tuesday – and people actually believed it. Kimmel sent a correspondent to prank unsuspecting pedestrians during a special “Kid Rock the Vote” edition of Kimmel’s “Lie Witness News,” a segment where he jokingly spreads outlandish news to see if people fall for it. At the end of the segment, the unwary pack sent messages of advice to the musician: “Senator … I’m disgusted and appalled that you won,” one man said.
