James Woods reached out to Alyssa Milano via Twitter to bring awareness to her plight. After sending a tweet Thursday night saying she was evacuating her home with her children, she later tweeted on Friday morning that plans fell through for her five horses and they were stranded and in need of rescuing.
The California wildfires have spread across the state causing a state of emergency. What may be more surprising than James Woods reaching out to help Alyssa, is how many negative tweets are showing up on both of their Twitter feeds.
In one tweet, a user asked James Woods why he would help Alyssa. On Alyssa’s Twitter feed, someone with the name Trump Army made fun of her for trying to save her horses.
User @JeffreyRaywood tweeted the following to Alyssa which she responded to.
“Awwwww, spoiled little rich girl is worried about her ponies.”
Milano responded by asking people not to say these negative things to her while her heart is breaking.
While many people are putting politics aside and trying to help those in crisis, there are still signs that not everyone is open to reaching across the aisle in order to help California residents.

If you have anything to say to me like the below, please wait until after my heart is not breaking.

Actor James Woods has launched two hashtags and has switched the focus of his Twitter feed from political tweets to messages of support and providing resources for those devastated by the fire.
The first hashtag: CampFireJamesWoods was used throughout Thursday and the greater portion of early Friday morning to help spread information and awareness.
As the fires spread and were no longer contained to Camp Fire, users asked if he would use another hashtag to help connect family members looking for loved ones.
Anyone looking for a family member may create a tweet with a photo, information including the name of the loved one, an address if they choose and any special conditions or identifying traits the person may have and use the hashtag #SoCalFiresJamesWoods.
This allows Woods’ 1.84 million followers and those who don’t follow him but want to make use of his Twitter to retweet and share the information.
Since launching the hashtags on Thursday, people have not only shared and retweeted but many successful messages stating missing people have been located were received.

She needs help with five horses. It was previously reported that her horses had been evacuated, but she says that did not happen. Please contact her at @Alyssa_Milano to get her location or use my hashtag #SoCalFiresJamesWoods This is a serious request.

For the most part, people are putting political divisions aside to help one another though there are some users who are finding they are getting blocked for creating division when people’s lives are at stake.
Woods has compiled numerous resources that include tweets involving shelter for large animals as well as the need for large horse trailers.
At this point, Alyssa Milano has not updated her Twitter to say if she has found help for her horses.
