Feb. 7 (UPI) — An Australian snake catcher shared video of an eastern brown snake trying an apparent attempt at camouflage by hiding inside a resident’s hose reel.

The video, posted to Facebook by Snake Catchers Adelaide, shows a snake catcher working to get a venomous eastern brown snake, one of the world’s deadliest serpents, to slither out of the hose reel at a Darlington, South Australia, home.

The catcher said the residents discovered their hose wouldn’t retract into the spool and suspected a snake was to blame.

“A couple from Darlington were extremely surprised to find out this brownie was the reason why their hose wouldn’t retract!!!” the post said.
