A Facebook Live video shows a group of people with a young man held hostage. The victim was shown all tied up with tape across his mouth and was repeatedly kicked by the suspects. The suspects shouting “F*** Donald Trump! F*** white people!” , could clearly be heard on the video.

The video was reported to the Chicago PD Tuesday afternoon. It was streamed by a young African American woman on Facebook Live and shows at least four people holding the victim, a young white man as hostage.

In a press briefing, Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson said: “a video of a brutal act towards an adult male with mental health challenges made its way into social media. The images on the video put on display the brazenness of the offenders who assaulted the victim and then broadcast it for the entire world to see.”

Operations made by the 11th district police officers and Area North Detectives, all of the four offenders are now in police custody and are awaiting formal charges. The victim, according to Johnson, is not a Chicago resident and is now recovering from the incident. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Area North Commander Kevin Duffin said, “After treatment at the hospital, he was released and his parents came into area north detective division.”

According to Duffin, the four people in custody – two men and two women have already given videotaped statements. Charges were expected within 24 hours. He further said that police “determined whether or not this is sincere or just stupid ranting and raving,” so that they could decide if they would file hate crime charges.

Superintendent Johnson further stated: “I’ve said time and time again, if you commit an act of violence in the city of Chicago, you will feel the full weight of the Chicago Police Department. And tonight 4 individuals have experienced the consequences of their action,”

The Original video of the torture of the kidnapped victim was taken down by Wednesday evening.
