Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the rose 2.51%.
The best performers of the session on the were Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:), which rose 6.77% or 1.196 points to trade at 18.856 at the close. Meanwhile, Telecom Italia (MI:) added 5.97% or 0.0406 points to end at 0.7212 and Exor NV (MI:) was up 5.80% or 3.38 points to 61.62 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:), which fell 0.16% or 0.01 points to trade at 6.18 at the close. Buzzi Unicem (MI:) added 0.18% or 0.04 points to end at 22.14 and Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:) was up 0.29% or 0.11 points to 37.72.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 296 to 71 and 25 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 2.16% or 1.37 to $62.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.47% or 0.98 to hit $65.88 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.68% or 9.00 to trade at $1320.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.78% to 1.2279, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8848.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.64% at 90.09.
