2 hurt in Monday afternoon wreck on Cloyd Boulevard
FLORENCE, AL, (January 06, 2025) - Two people were injured, including an off-duty police officer, in a Monday afternoon two-vehicle accident in Florence.
Off-duty police officer Danny Hines was injured Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident on Cloyd Boulevard in Florence.
According to the Florence Police Department, a vehicle operated by Danny Hines collided with another motorist along Cloyd Boulevard near Mall and Belview roads.
Hines was hurt in the crash and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The driver of the second vehicle was also hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is leading the ongoing investigation.
CRASH INVESTIGATION
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), nearly 2.5 million people were injured in motor vehicle crashes in 2021.
“Road conditions, visibility, and lighting are all possible contributing factors that are considered and require thorough examination,” said Candice Bond, a Managing Partner with Bond Legal.
“An accident reconstruction team is sometimes needed to help piece together what happened. All of these resources are necessary for helping clients receive monetary compensation for damages or a loss following a collision,” said Bond, an experienced auto accident attorney.
PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM
Danny Hines may be entitled to an injury claim, and they may seek recovery for damages, including medical expenses, future medical care, pain and suffering, and emotional trauma.
“A major injury means that there will be a lot of challenges ahead. Attorneys know how to handle all the legal aspects of a case so a person could focus on healing and moving forward,” Bond, who is also a national legal analyst for Newsline, said.
Bond added, “It doesn’t matter how large an insurance company a victim of a major crash is fighting; an attorney with experience and resources will ensure that the victim's right are protected and injuries are properly compensated.”
