Crash at Phelan Road and Bellflower Street claims life of 35-year-old man, officials say
HESPERIA, CA, (November 21, 2024) - The San Bernardino County Coroner’s office has identified the pedestrian fatally hit by a vehicle in Hesperia Thursday night as 35-year-old Francisco Delgado.
Francisco Delgado, 35, lost his life as a result of being hit by a motor vehicle in Hesperia Thursday night, according to authorities.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Hesperia Station, Delgado was struck in the area of Phelan Road and Bellflower Street around 11 p.m. Tragically, he died at the scene from injuries.
A detailed description of events leading up to the collision was not immediately available.
The investigation is underway.
CRASH INVESTIGATION NEEDED
No state has more pedestrian deaths on its roadways than California. According to the California Office of Traffic Safety (COTS), in 2018, around 893 pedestrians were killed on California roadways, a 26% increase from 2014.
