Six-time All-Pro punter Shane Lechler will enter his 19th NFL season with the Houston Texans, according to a published report.

Lechler and the Texans agreed to a one-year contract, the Houston Chronicle reported on Thursday.

The 41-year-old finished second in the NFL with a 49.0-yard gross average, trailing only Brett Kern (49.7) of the Tennessee Titans. Lechler ended up ninth in the league with a 41.3-yard net average.

Lechler, who has been with the Texans since 2013, spent his first 13 years with the Oakland Raiders after being selected in the fifth round of the 2000 NFL Draft.
