5 hurt in Nov. 24 high-speed collision along U.S. Highway 23
PICKAWAY, OH, (November 24, 2024) - The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) says a Nov. 24 high-speed collision involving three vehicles left five people severely injured in Pickaway County.
Denise Livingston was injured on Nov. 24 when an oncoming motorist collided with the vehicle she was driving along U.S. Highway 23 in Pickaway County.
According to officials, 53-year-old Denise Livingston was behind the wheel of a 2024 Honda CR-V heading southbound along U.S. Highway 23 at approximately 2:30 p.m. At the same time, a 2003 Toyota Avalon speeding northbound traveled onto the shoulder, overcorrected, crossed onto the southbound side of the roadway, and collided with the Honda and a 2013 Hyundai Sonata.
Livingston was badly hurt and taken to Berger Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Hyundai and two passengers in the vehicle were also hospitalized with serious injuries.
The 72-year-old woman driving the Toyota was flown to Grant Medical Center.
An investigation into the incident remains underway.
CRASH INVESTIGATION
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, nearly 2.5 million people were injured in motor vehicle crashes in 2021.
“Road conditions, visibility, and lighting are all possible contributing factors that are considered and require thorough examination,” said Candice Bond, a Managing Partner with Bond Legal.
“An accident reconstruction team is sometimes needed to help piece together what happened. All of these resources are necessary for helping clients receive monetary compensation for damages or a loss following a collision,” said Bond, an experienced auto accident attorney.
PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM
Denise Livingston may be entitled to an injury claim, and they may seek recovery for damages, including medical expenses, future medical care, pain and suffering, and emotional trauma.
“A major injury means that there will be a lot of challenges ahead. Attorneys know how to handle all the legal aspects of a case so a person could focus on healing and moving forward,” Bond, who is also a national legal analyst for Newsline, said.
Bond added, “It doesn’t matter how large an insurance company a victim of a major crash is fighting; an attorney with experience and resources will ensure that the victim's right are protected and injuries are properly compensated.”
