OSHP investigating Nov. 24 three-vehicle collision along U.S Highway 23
PICKAWAY, OH, (November 24, 2024) - Five people were hospitalized on Nov. 24 after a three-vehicle accident along U.S. Highway 23 in Pickaway County.
Tomas Bonifacio was seriously injured on Nov. 24 in a multi-vehicle collision along U.S. Highway 23 in Pickaway County.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) says a southbound 2003 Toyota Avalon traveled onto the shoulder, leading the driver to overcorrect, cross the roadway, and crash into two northbound vehicles around 2:30 p.m.
The driver of one of the northbound vehicles, identified as 23-year-old driver Tomas Bonifacio, was transported to Grant Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
Two additional people traveling in Bonifacio's Hyundai were also hospitalized with severe injuries.
The drivers of the other two vehicles involved were also injured and taken to local hospitals for treatment.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
CRASH INVESTIGATION
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, nearly 2.5 million people were injured in motor vehicle crashes in 2021.
“Road conditions, visibility, and lighting are all possible contributing factors that are considered and require thorough examination,” said Candice Bond, a Managing Partner with Bond Legal.
“An accident reconstruction team is sometimes needed to help piece together what happened. All of these resources are necessary for helping clients receive monetary compensation for damages or a loss following a collision,” said Bond, an experienced auto accident attorney.
PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM
Tomas Bonifacio may be entitled to an injury claim, and they may seek recovery for damages, including medical expenses, future medical care, pain and suffering, and emotional trauma.
“A major injury means that there will be a lot of challenges ahead. Attorneys know how to handle all the legal aspects of a case so a person could focus on healing and moving forward,” Bond, who is also a national legal analyst for Newsline, said.
Bond added, “It doesn’t matter how large an insurance company a victim of a major crash is fighting; an attorney with experience and resources will ensure that the victim's right are protected and injuries are properly compensated.”
